In 2021 we began work on a new cabin and bunkie for our own families in Calabogie, just west of Ottawa. We’re also planning to offer the main cabin and the bunkie for rental starting this summer. We now have cool animated video tours of these amazing spaces to share!
Poplar Cabin – The Main House
The hand crafted log home has 2,648 square feet of living space over two stories and a half loft, giving the cabin a unique profile. The home can easily host one larger family or two smaller families and has been laid out with this in mind. It will be easy to sleep 10 to 12 people in the main cabin, and there will be parking spots for three to four vehicles.
Four bedrooms are included in the space, two masters with queen size beds, and two additional bedrooms that will be outfitted with bunk beds. There are three bathrooms, two with full showers. The kitchen and living room are open concept and defined by huge windows with incredible views. A screened in porch offers a wonderful place to unwind just off the kitchen.
The lower level features a games room that will house a pool table, dart board, and a basketball game, as well as a television, and opens onto a covered outdoor seating area.

Poplar Bunkie
Our hand crafted bunkie will offer an additional 639 square feet of “away space”, which will be amazing when our two families share the property, and will provide nice options for anyone renting the property.
The bunkie’s main floor includes two entrances, a kitchen, a great room with eating and sitting areas, a bedroom with queen size bed, a bath with a shower, and a half loft with additional beds.
The bunkie will sleep between 2 to 4 people and will offer 1 to 2 parking spots.
